How Get FHIIT turned into Fitco El Paso.
In 2016, my brothers opened Get FHIIT, a personal training gym in Dallas, Texas. Before opening my gym, I started managing the app remotely from El Paso. That same year I was able to earn my personal training certification and carved out a tiny studio gym in the back of my husband’s office building on the east side of town. I kept the name Get FHIIT to honor the brand my brothers started.
Fast forward to 2022, I took a leap of faith and moved into a bigger, custom-built space on the west side. Around that time, my brothers decided to close the Dallas gym. Meanwhile, Get FHIIT-style names were popping up all over El Paso, and it became clear: it was time to branch out and build something truly my own.
That’s how FitCo El Paso was born—“Fit” for what we do, and “CO” for my initials (and yes, it also gives a little nod to my husband’s business, HEYCO). We’re starting fresh, standing on the foundation of everything we’ve learned, and growing a space where women feel stronger, seen, and supported.
This is more than a gym. It’s a movement. And we’re just getting started.

I'm Tasha
CEO, Certified Trainer, Certified Nutrition Specialist
I’m a former Dallas girlie turned proud El Pasoan. My journey started in the medical field back in Dallas, where I discovered my deep passion for helping others live healthier, happier lives.
After moving to El Paso, I stayed home with my kids until they were school-age when I felt that familiar pull to help others, but this time in a completely new way. In 2018, I started my own personal training business to help others in the best way I knew how: through fitness and movement.
My Training Philosophy: I believe fitness should meet you where you are, not the other way around. Every session I design focuses on improving daily living activities, strength, balance, and mobility in ways that feel supportive, not intimidating. I’m a big believer in proper form, mindful movement, and building sustainable habits that fit real life. I’m especially passionate about working with peri-menopausal women and older adults, helping them feel stronger, more confident, and capable in their bodies.
Whether we’re celebrating a heavier lift, a pain-free movement, a cleared bill of health or just the joy of showing up, my goal is to help each client feel empowered in their own body. Because when you move with strength and confidence, it shows up in every part of your life. Helping others move better, feel better, and live better isn’t just my job, it’s my purpose.
Every success story reminds me why I started, because fitness is more than just movement; it’s freedom, confidence, and joy.

My entire life, I have struggled with body image and what the scale said. I always thought I had to look a certain way before I could even enter a gym. It wasn’t until COVID and my own health struggles that I prioritized my health and moving my body. As I gained more physical strength, I also gained mental strength, and I no longer prioritized the scale, but rather how I felt in my body. I want to help women find their inner strength, I want to see the look on someone’s face when they can lift something that weeks ago seemed impossible. The gym isn’t for some bodies, it’s for EVERY BODY.
I hold a degree in Organizational and Corporate Communication from the University of Texas at El Paso. When I’m not at the gym, I work from home in tech. I have a 3-year-old Lhaso Apso/Shih Tzu mix named Tommy who is the light of my life. I enjoy reading, music, podcasts, and figuring out how much protein I really need in a day.
